ORIGINAL TRACKSMEET DÉJÀ BUU
The name Déjà Buu begins with buugeng (her buu) — the serpent-shaped S-staffs that were her entry point into the electronic music scene as a flow artist. As time went on, her artistry expanded beyond movement to honor her roots as a musician. Déjà Buu has played the saxophone for over 20 years, and that love affair with the saxophone is threaded through her ecstatic dance journeys, high-energy dance sets, and original songs such as “Entre Mundos.”
She founded and produced Central Valley Ecstatic Dance in Costa Rica over two and a half years before taking her practice on the road. Now nomadic, she carries her staffs and her saxophone across the world, guiding dances into the psychedelic in-between where memory and magic collide.
